Estimated Weekly Pay: $1760 - $1890
On-Site Position
Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Michigan RN license preferred for local candidates)
BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
Minimum of 1 year of recent bedside clinical experience in a Med/Surg unit (2 years highly desired)
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care by following individualized patient care plans
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission
Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care goals
Initiate and participate in patient teaching and discharge planning from day of admission
Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital policies and clinical safety protocols
Maintain open communication with care teams and nursing leadership regarding patient status and unit needs
Contribute to a positive healthcare team environment and participate in unit team-building activities
Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed following orientation
