The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours / sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.
Hourly rate of pay: £13.48 - £14.33
This is a 39-week sessional post, working hours during school term time plus in-service days.
Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Thursday, 08:00-14:30
Friday, 08:00-12:00

East Lothian Council seeks to appoint a highly skilled, motivated, and experienced Senior Business Support Assistant. Experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
Good communication and numeracy skills are required, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
The role involves establishing good working relationships, prioritising tasks in a fast-paced environment, and working independently with confidence to provide excellent customer support.
The successful candidate will start as soon as possible following the recruitment process.
Rosehill High School, Wallyford, opened in August 2023, currently has 486 pupils within S1-S4, with a projected roll of 1000+ in S1-S6.
The campus supports creative learning approaches, with adaptive spaces, digitally enabled classrooms, a STEAM plaza, Learning Resource Centre, arts facilities, and a state-of-the-art sports complex. Learning extends beyond traditional classrooms to outdoor and sustainable learning, with community and health spaces for collaboration.
The successful candidate will work in the main school office, collaborating with the Head Teacher, Business Manager, and Business Support Administrator to deliver core administration and support additional partners as needed.

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to ‘Higher’ level, NC, or SVQ level 2 in English, or demonstrate equivalent skills and experience.
PVG Membership
