About The Role

Project Worker - Cherrywood

Elderslie area - Paisley

£12.60 per hour

38 hour per week

Our organisation was established in the mid-70s with the goal of providing outstanding social care for individuals with diverse support needs. We're dedicated to placing the people we support at the forefront of everything we do and providing customised care that suits their specific needs. Our core values of Life, Justice, and Community drive us to make a positive impact on people's lives.

TMF is delighted to confirm that on 1st April it joined Enable, one of Scotland’s leading charities who has been championing the rights of individuals for over 70 years. Enable’s mission is to work for an equal society where everyone has the right to live, work and participate in the communities of their choice. Across the charity’s three pillars, they deliver self-directed health and social care support with Enable Cares; employability and training services with Enable Works; and community projects and campaigns with Enable Communities.

The Cherrywood Project is based in the Elderslie area of Paisley. We are a 9 bedded service; we work over 2 bungalows. We support individuals with profound needs and Autism the people we support have lived together for a long time and are very settled, we have a great team here at Cherrywood and would like for you to come and join us and develop your social skills and knowledge.

Help transform lives like M’s.

Hi, I live at Cherrywood I have lived here for 15 years. I live in a bungalow with my other 3 friends. I love a takeaway on a Saturday night and GBX on with the disco lights. I also like when my mum and dad come to visit a couple of days a week.

I enjoy going to concerts and days out on the minibus. I love my music, I prefer dance tunes. I also enjoy my music class on a Thursday, my aromatherapy on a Monday and I like to bake and help staff to make the dinner. I feel very special when I am involved.

When it comes to supporting me, I require someone who can support me, chat to me and make me feel comfortable. I also require all aspects of personal care; I love a bath with my bath bombs and I like this to be an activity like a pamper session therefore you must have patience and lots of time to spend with me.

Don’t worry if you don’t have prior experience, you will work with experienced staff, and training will be given. All I want is a good listener, and someone who is compassionate.
