We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Waking Night Support Workers, where you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for our residents.
About the Role
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will be an essential part of our residential service, ensuring the physical, social, and emotional care of the children and young people in our homes. Your shift will run from 20:00 PM to 8:00 AM, allowing you to make a significant impact during the night when children may need extra support.
Key Responsibilities
* Stay awake and attentive throughout your shift to ensure the safety and welfare of each child.
* Provide empathy and compassion during nighttime hours, helping children feel secure.
* Engage in activities and assist with personalized bedtime routines.
* Maintain accurate records using computer systems.
* Follow procedures for reporting missing children and communicate effectively with out-of-hours services.
* Act as a positive role model for both colleagues and children.
* Contribute to the ethos and vision of Area Camden.
What We’re Looking For
We seek individuals who are not only qualified but also passionate about child care. Here’s what you need:
* Ability to work as part of a team and bring energy and enthusiasm to the role.
* Experience and knowledge of safeguarding children.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Organizational skills and the ability to plan and prepare effectively.
* A commitment to undertake a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare if not already held.
Working Conditions
This is a permanent position with a competitive salary of up to £30,641.52 per annum (dependent on qualifications). You will work a minimum average of 168 hours per calendar month with a weekly rotating rota of 48 hours.
