Fire Safety Manager / Resident Safety Manager – London (Housing Association) £27 PAYE / £35 Umbrella LTD (Inside IR35) 37 hours per week Temporary ongoing contract We are working with a Housing Association to recruit a Fire Safety Manager / Resident Safety Manager to support their Building Safety team. This is a key management role focused on protecting vulnerable residents living in higher and medium-risk buildings. You’ll oversee Person Centred Fire Risk Assessments (PCFRAs), ensure evacuation plans are in place, and line manage a small team while holding your own complex caseload. The role combines office-based work with site visits (less frequent than Officers), so flexibility is essential. Responsibilities Oversee and carry out Person Centred Fire Risk Assessments (PCFRAs), focusing primarily on higher-risk buildings Ensure residents with vulnerabilities have Emergency Evacuation Plans and Building Evacuation Plans in place and reviewed annually Line manage a team of 4 officers, supporting quality, performance, and workload management Manage your own caseload alongside team oversight using CRM systems Approve and coordinate equipment or works required to support resident evacuation plans Ensure sensitive resident data is handled in line with GDPR requirements Share relevant information with Fire & Rescue Services Compile performance data and contribute to reporting Support implementation and continuous improvement of PEEPs processes Provide professional fire safety advice internally and support wider resident safety projects as required Role profile - Resident Safety … Requirements Minimum ABBE Level 4 in Fire Risk Assessment (or equivalent) Experience conducting PCFRAs in high and medium rise residential buildings Strong fire safety risk knowledge Experience managing staff (including remote/on-site teams) and performance standards Member of IFSM or equivalent professional fire safety body Experience auditing PCFRAs and related documentation Confident engaging with residents with a wide range of needs Strong digital record keeping and reporting experience Awareness of safeguarding and data protection Flexible approach to work and site attendance Basic DBS requiredContact If you’re interested or would like to discuss the role further, please contact James at Service Care Solutions on (phone number removed) or email (url removed)
