Solicitor or Equivalent (Clinical Negligence Grade B - Southport)

Join our Clinical Negligence Team as a Grade B Solicitor (or Equivalent). We seek an experienced clinical negligence solicitor ready to take the next step in your career. You will independently manage a variety of clinical negligence cases, ensuring a proactive, client‑focused, commercially aware approach.
Responsibilities
* Run an individual caseload.
* Provide support, guidance and assistance to the team to deliver outstanding service to clients.
* Contribute to proactive and commercial case management across the team.
* Support the Team Leader/Head of Department in ensuring delivery of financial and performance KPIs.
* Effective time recording.
* Discuss and agree case tactics and planning with the Team Leader/Head of Department and members of the team.
* Identify and drive cases ready for settlement, LOC and service.
* Co‑ordinate progression of cases with internal and external parties.
* Draft legal documentation – LOC, letters of instruction.
* Negotiate settlement and issue and service proceedings if required.
* Litigate claims as required.
* Oversee documentation and correspondence produced by the team.
* Advise the team on technical issues arising from their cases.
Qualifications
* 5 years+ PQE or equivalent experience in clinical negligence.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication and drafting skills.
* Excellent IT skills – Microsoft Office packages, Proclaim and Excel.
* Strong commercial awareness within a legal environment.
* Ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
* Flexible and willing to achieve results and meet deadlines.
* Excellent client care skills.
