Position Overview
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the role involves defining, supporting, and continuously improving manufacturing methods to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient production of Héroux-Devtek’s products. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining manufacturing plans and bills of materials using the ERP system, supporting rework instructions and corrective actions, designing tooling and fixtures, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and improve manufacturing instructions and methods.
* Utilize the Infor LN ERP system for planning and BOM management.
* Collaborate with Design Engineering to develop rework schemes for MRO repairs.
* Plan production processes for plating operations.
* Support New Product Introduction through design reviews and process analysis.
* Provide shop floor support for manufacturing and hydraulic testing issues.
Qualifications
* Solid foundation in manufacturing engineering practices.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings for machining.
* Experience with SolidWorks for tool and fixture design.
* Knowledge of processing and plating techniques such as Chrome, HVOF, Nickel, Zinc Nickel, and Cadmium.
* Experience with hydraulic actuation systems.
* Familiarity with ERP systems like BaaN is a plus.
