Salary: £42,101 - £49,528 pa Hours: Full time Contract: Permanent Location: Birmingham / Hybrid Posts: Two posts This is an exciting opportunity to use your Fitness to Practise (FtP) expertise and management skills to play a pivotal role in protecting patient safety and maintaining public confidence in dental services. Reporting to the Head of Case Examiners within FtP, as a Team Manager of Case Examiners, you will line manage a team of highly experienced Case Examiners, whilst always ensuring the independence of their FtP case decisions. You will provide day to day support, performance management and support with quality assurance of work, whilst ensuring independent, fair, robust, and timely decision-making from your team members. You will also support with FtP improvement projects, as required in relation to the Case Examiners. Your key responsibilities will include: Providing day to day management including 121s and performance management within your team, ensuring team members are achieving targets and KPIs. Ensuring the delivery of high-quality and effective decision-making by Case Examiners including undertaking regular quality reviews, while maintaining the independence of the decision-making function. Ensuring your team have timely updates on legal issues and receive appropriate training as required. Ensuring your team are kept up to date with process and policy developments in FtP and to act as a conduit for them to feedback and input into development work. About you You will offer a detailed knowledge and experience within a similar environment, gained within another regulator or a similar regulatory environment. Experience of managing a large team responsible for making decisions in relation to complex casework and inspiring the team to attain goals and pursue excellence.
