About the role
The post holder is responsible for the Consort House site as co‑ordinator and incident lead, working in close liaison with the Emergency Planning Resilience and Response, Estates and Health & Safety leads.
The post holder will manage the administration and reception team at Consort House, ensuring an efficient, high quality and effective administrative support service representing FCHC values and quality of care. This includes staff recruitment, appraisals, training, rostering, day‑to‑day line management and chairing staff meetings.
Main duties
Providing support and line management for administration staff, allocating workload, managing performance and maintaining high standards.
Acting as site liaison for Estates and Health & Safety, ensuring compliance with legislation, completing incident reports and liaising with external partners.
Taking a lead role in incidents, accidents and near‑miss occurrences, liaising with relevant agencies.
Managing supplier contracts, addressing maintenance and operational issues, escalating to suppliers and Estates/Health & Safety teams.

Qualifications, skills, experience and knowledge
* Degree level qualification or equivalent.
* IOSH qualification preferred.
* Experience in an administrative department.
* Experience overseeing building reception.
* Experience responding to incidents and emergencies.
* Substantial managerial experience.
* Experience managing recruitment, appraisals, sickness absence and staff rosters.
* Experience producing meeting reports and minutes.
* Experience within a healthcare environment and Health & Safety.
* Knowledge of medical terminology, NHS IT systems, and financial instructions.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem‑solving, organisation and change‑management skills.
* Advanced IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CoPilot).
* Literacy and numeracy.
* Use of electronic clinical records.
* Ability to work on own initiative, organise workload without supervision, work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and engage in continued professional development.
Benefits & Compensation
£39,959 to £48,117 a year + 5% HCAS per annum, pro rata.
