Lead the Way in Industrial Refrigeration
We have partnered with one of the UKs leading FM Contractors and are seeking an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Supervisor to oversee expanding operations in Scotland. This is a key leadership role within our business unit, where you'll manage complex refrigeration systems, supervise technical teams, and ensure the highest standards of service across client sites throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities
* P&L Responsibility: Oversee and manage the profit and loss for all quoted service works, ensuring profitability and efficiency.
* Team Leadership: Provide technical and practical support to the regional service engineers, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
* Service Operations: Liaise with regional engineers and ensure smooth daily operations, offering guidance on technical issues and health & safety matters.
* Customer Relations: Maintain strong relationships with contracted customers, offering regular communication and reporting.
* Recruitment & Resource Management: Work alongside the Regional Service Manager (RSM) to recruit and manage service engineer resources.
* Project Support: Collaborate with the Projects Business Unit (BU) and assist with coordination of regional projects as needed.
* Strategic Development: Work closely with the RSM to grow and develop the region, driving continuous improvement.
* Service Functions: Ensure all service engineer functions are completed efficiently, including overseeing call‑out rotas and providing on‑the‑ground support.
Skills & Qualifications
* Supervisory Experience: Proven experience in service supervision, particularly in the RAC (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning) sector with a focus on commercial chillers.
* Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems and equipment, including the ability to provide hands‑on support and troubleshooting.
* Commercial & Negotiation Skills: A solid understanding of commercial operations and the ability to negotiate with both clients and suppliers.
* Leadership & Initiative: A strong ability to work autonomously, lead teams effectively, and meet regional targets and objectives.
* Customer‑Centric Approach: A deep understanding of customer business requirements and the ability to foster strong relationships.
* Proactive Mindset: A "can‑do" attitude with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and operational challenges.
* Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage both internal teams and customer relationships.
Technical Qualifications
* City & Guilds 2078/2079 F-Gas Refrigerant Handling
* CITB / C&G Ammonia Handling Certificate
* City & Guilds 207 - Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
* NVQ Level 1, 2 & 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
* Pressure Testing Competency
* Specific Compressor Manufacturer Training Courses
* Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Experience with Controls: A good understanding of controls and system strategy is highly desirable.
