Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team. The role involves completing a full range of maintenance activities across the installed asset base, rapidlydiagnosingand resolving mechanical, electrical, and basic control & instrumentation faults. The successful candidate will play a key role in minimising downtime,maintainingequipment reliability, and supporting the launch and commissioning of new or refurbished machinery.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
* Day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and servicing of production equipment
* Rapid response to breakdowns to minimise downtime
* Supporting implementation, commissioning, and launch of new or refurbished equipment
* Diagnosing equipment faults and executing repairs in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
* Programming fault finding, modifications, and troubleshooting via PLCs
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks and ensuring schedules are adhered to
* Reading and interpreting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings
* Implementing quality countermeasures and ensuring equipmentoperatesto specification
* Participating in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
* Supporting 5S andmaintainingan organised, safe, and efficient work environment
* Any other duties of a similar nature or level of responsibility
Required Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum Level 3 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
* Understanding of engineering principles and technical drawings
* Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
* Strong practical skills with experiencemaintainingproduction equipment
* Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks
* Strong communicationand teamwork skills
* Good numeracy and analytical skills
* BTEC HNC Electrical or equivalent xsngvjr
* Experience with PLC programming and fault diagnosis
* Previousexperience in a precision engineering or CNC manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of quality systems (AS9100) and safety-critical processes
