Overview
Bookkeeper — £33,000 - £35,000 + Training, opportunities to progress + company benefits. Newport – Office based.
This well-established subcontractor and distributor business specialises in the supply and installation of construction products. The role provides autonomy to take ownership of the finance function and make a meaningful impact within the company.
Responsibilities
* Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for projects.
* Manage accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and payroll processing.
* Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with company standards.
* Perform administrative tasks such as filing, record management, and updating company records.
Requirements / The Person
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper.
* Strong knowledge of accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
* Familiarity with construction accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Procore, or similar).
* Strong knowledge of SAGE 50.
* Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
