Venari Legal is pleased to be recruiting for our client, who is seeking a Senior In-House Solicitor to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled lawyer to work as a Managing Lawyer, supporting an iconic UK brand in innovative ways.
The successful candidate will manage commercial contracts, including technology and outsourcing agreements, third-party supplier arrangements, and other operational contracts. The role involves supervising a team of lawyers and paralegals, working directly with business partners, and developing the legal service offering.
The client has established a dedicated team to support this work, working alongside their in-house legal function. This position is ideal for experienced lawyers looking to join and extend the client’s in-house legal team, with responsibilities including:
* Managing and supervising a team of lawyers and paralegals;
* Shaping innovative legal service delivery models;
* Driving legal process efficiency;
* Working closely with the client’s in-house team to deepen understanding of their business.
We seek a senior lawyer with supervision experience, and expertise in general commercial contracts, media, technology/outsourcing, and intellectual property. Responsibilities
You will lead a team to deliver comprehensive commercial contract services, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on contracts. You will support your team in taking full ownership of contracts through innovative, technology-driven solutions.
You will collaborate with the in-house legal team and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality client service and maintain strong client relationships.

Summary of key responsibilities:
* Build and maintain a close working relationship with the client;
* Distribute legal work among team members;
* Manage team capacity, quality, and availability;
* Set and review team objectives;
* Contribute to financial and operational reports;
* Coordinate work allocation with the client and internal teams;
* Attend key meetings;
* Facilitate quoting processes;
* Train new team members;
* Support development of precedents and playbooks;
* Participate in improvement initiatives across legal, tech, and operational streams;
* Advise on commercial contracts and legal queries.
Required experience, skills, and attributes
o Experience with media contracts;
o Management experience of legal teams;
o Technology awareness;
o Experience with sophisticated clients preferred;
o Exceptional drafting and legal research skills.
