There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our South West Division are looking to recruit a Sales Progressor to join the Division’s Sales team.
Responsibilities
* Move sales from reservation stage through to contract exchange and completion, aiming for the shortest possible timescale while ensuring maximum profit through effective progression management and high service to customers. Provide administrative support to the Senior Sales Manager.
* Maintain communication between Bellway’s nominated solicitor and the customers’ solicitor to strive for contract exchange by the reservation expiry date.
* Coordinate between the divisional office-based sales team, Sales Advisors, and Lenders/Brokers/Estate Agents to keep all stakeholders informed of progress in the sales pipeline.
* Investigate and resolve problems, particularly sales involving multiple chains.
* Occasionally act as an additional point of contact to guide customers through the contract/completion process, especially for customers unfamiliar with legal terminology.
* Ensure customers receive the highest levels of service at all times.
* Resolve ad-hoc or minor queries to enable conveyancers to focus on more complex enquiries and achieve prompt exchange of contracts/completion.
* Ensure Sales Advisors provide accurate, regular updates (at least weekly) and provide support when required.
* Provide a weekly update report to Senior Management or as required.
* The above is not exclusive or exhaustive; duties may be reasonably required as part of the role.
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
* Knowledge of the housing market and conveyancing process would be desirable.
* Experience of working in a sales-targeted environment.
* Experience of building effective working relationships within a team.
Qualifications And Training
* No formal qualifications are necessary but evidence of relevant experience and skills will be required.
Skills and Aptitude
* A dynamic and proactive approach is essential.
* A patient and tenacious approach to all aspects of the role.
* Proficient IT skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems.
* Positive and self-motivated; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
