About The Role and Person An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a Cleaner and Maintenance Officer to be responsible for general caretaking and maintenance tasks. The post holder will work in a small team at the farm to carry out cleaning duties of classrooms and offices, general basic maintenance, caretaking and estates support at Forty Hall Farm. They will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and upkeep of College buildings and equipment and ensure that the campus is clean and safe. They will also on occasion be responsible for site security and will carry out opening and closing duties and will work as part of a rota to respond to out of hours issues, as required. They will have a B1 minibus license to be able to transport staff and students to and from the college to enable them to carry out their practicals on the farm. The ideal candidate will have have good practical skills and be able to undertake routine repairs, maintenance and redecoration tasks as required. A basic understanding of plumbing and electrical issues and have a working knowledge of building fabric and maintenance. This is a part-time position working 21. 6 hours per week. The actual salary is £15,556. 20 inclusive of London Weighting. Some occasional weekend working may be required. This is a Fixed-term position till July.
