I am working with an SME consultancy in Leeds that is ready to build their team with the addition of a Transport Planner. This specialist consultancy offers unprecedented exposure to projects and clients, with the freedom to work on schemes of your choice.
As an SME, they have the flexibility to target work aligned with your interests, supported by experienced directors and senior team members to help you deliver effectively.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans, Junction Modelling, and possibly BREEAM Assessments. You will also have opportunities to attend client meetings, networking events, stakeholder meetings, and gain experience in Traffic Modelling, Swept Path Analysis, and preliminary detailed design.
This role offers excellent career prospects, with the potential to progress to Principal level within a few years for the right candidate.
In return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £37,000, a discretionary bonus, a comprehensive pension package, and other benefits.
Transport Planner Responsibilities:
* Writing transport statements (TS) and traffic impact assessments (TA), supporting senior staff in preparing complex reports
* Preparing travel plans, conducting travel surveys, and liaising with organisations for promotion
* Monitoring travel plan funds and review reports against targets
* Supporting BREEAM assessments (Tr01 and Tr02)
* Leading traffic modelling efforts and organising traffic surveys
* Carrying out site visits and traffic data collection
* Producing accurate drawings to support technical reports (AutoCAD/GIS)
* Conducting visibility assessments and swept path analysis
* Preliminary access design and reviewing internal layouts in collaboration with architects
* Liaising with team members, co-professionals, and clients
* Attending meetings with clients and regulators
* Preparing quotations and managing projects
* Performing administrative duties such as collating reports and setting up projects
* Representing the consultancy at events
