Join to apply for the Account Manager role at Packetts Insurance Brokers.
The role is based at our Shipley office with hybrid working options once settled into the role. You’ll report to the Commercial Manager and work closely with existing clients and Account Executives to renew and assist, as well as maximise opportunities to increase the book of business. Our customers are long-standing clients with strong relationships, and the role focuses on Commercial General Insurance mainly for SMEs.
Responsibilities
* Offer and present insurance solutions including policies and other risk management solutions, with the aim of securing renewals and/or new business. Collaborate with colleagues and managers to raise concerns and provide solutions.
* Identify and pursue cross-selling, up-selling and similar opportunities. Utilise leads provided by the company and develop new, efficient ways to increase quote volume.
* Achieve or exceed the agreed volume of quotes/sales/income generated from marketing sources, including personal prospecting activity.
* Understand clients’ business operations, opportunities and risks and their approach to risk management and insurance.
* Ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards and external regulations (e.g. FCA).
About You
* Excellent communication and written skills with a keen eye for detail. A desire to develop with strong career progression and training within the insurance industry.
* Good general insurance background and knowledge, especially Commercial Insurance.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Cert CII) or working towards.
* Great customer service skills and an excellent telephone manner with ability to network and build working relationships.
* Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within Insurance.
* Experience in a similar role working with insurers and clients; able to use initiative and multi-task while updating systems and admin.
* Acturis system knowledge and experience (ideally).
