Key Responsibilities in Legal PA – Personal Injury
* Provide comprehensive PA and administrative support to Personal Injury solicitors and fee earners, including audio typing, emails, diary management, arranging meetings, and handling confidential correspondence.
* Prepare, format, and amend a wide range of legal documents, witness statements, and reports in line with firm and court requirements.
* Liaise professionally and empathetically with clients, medical experts, counsel, and other third parties to facilitate case progress and excellent client care.
* Manage incoming telephone and email enquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses or escalation as required.
* Assist with case management, including file opening, maintenance, closure, and archiving, ensuring compliance with SRA and GDPR regulations.
* Handle the preparation and submission of court documents, bundles, and other relevant paperwork under supervision.
* Support billing processes by producing invoices, preparing schedules of costs, and liaising with accounts as necessary.
* Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in case management systems, ensuring all documentation is filed and retrievable.
* Organise travel and accommodation for team members and assist with the coordination of events and marketing initiatives as required.
* Contribute positively to team meetings and identify opportunities to enhance administrative procedures and efficiency.
Essential Skills and Experience – Legal PA in Personal Injury
* Significant previous experience working as a Legal PA or Legal Secretary within a busy Personal Injury team, or another relevant area of law.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
* Proficient in the use of legal case management systems and standard office software; high level of IT literacy is essential.
* Meticulous attention to detail, particularly when preparing and reviewing documents, correspondence, and case files.
* Demonstrable ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
* Commitment to providing outstanding client care, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
