Clinical Specialist OT – Paediatrics/NICU
An experienced practitioner will join the Paediatric Occupational Therapy team to deliver high‑quality care to children and infants across Norfolk and surrounding areas. The role involves autonomous assessment, treatment and training across both paediatric wards and outpatient settings, including virtual or face‑to‑face appointments.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist assessment and occupational therapy management of preterm infants on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and programmes of care for preterm babies.
* Assess and manage the neurodevelopment of paediatric patients on both ward and outpatient bases.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including consultants, nurses, physiotherapists and other therapists.
* Independently manage a specialist caseload and provide clinical support and advice to junior staff.
* Offer training and mentorship for junior Occupational Therapy staff.
Qualifications
* Registered Occupational Therapist with evidence of experience working with paediatric and neonatal patients.
* Demonstrated ability to manage an autonomous specialist caseload.
* Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills for complex paediatric conditions.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
* Willingness and competence to train and develop junior staff.
Working Hours
Part‑time: 31.75 hours per week.
