We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Waiter / Waitress to assist the floor managers in the day-to-day running of the Barbican Bar & Grill. As a world‑class arts venue, The Barbican has a range of auditoria, rooms and spaces that can be hired for a wide range of events, from conferences, AGMs and product launches to meetings, receptions and weddings.

Job Description
* Full Time hours
* 20 hours Contract
* Salary: £13.85 hourly plus Tronc
Key Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional customer service, whilst carrying out all duties related to the job
* Successfully participate in the delivery of all food and beverage services
* Set up all tables and required equipment
* Take orders and process payment
* Abide by company policies and departmental procedures/trainings
* Solve any customer service related problem
* Liaise with key people in all necessary areas (kitchen, floor, reception, etc…) of the business to ensure the provision of food and service is consistent and in line with menu/standards set by the managers
* Deal effectively and courteously with customer requests, and refer them to the line manager if necessary
* Ensure all legislative and Government guidelines are adhered to, including The Food Safety Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, the COSHH regulations, etc.
* Comply with legal requirements for fire regulations, security, licence requirements and any Local Authority or Client stipulations and other reasonable requests of Senior Management

* Strong organisational skills
