Overview
Are you a self-motivated engineer, keen to learn and looking for an exciting new challenge? My client has an immediate requirement for an electrically biased Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer based at their site in the Dumfries and Galloway region. The successful candidate will join a global business and work with a team of friendly engineers, carrying out installations, planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns on manufacturing machinery on site. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful business, working Monday to Friday on an alternate shift pattern, with an attractive basic salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities
* Carry out installations, planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns on manufacturing machinery on site.
* Work with a team of engineers in a global business environment.
* Support site operations and ensure equipment reliability.
Qualifications
* Must have completed a recognised apprenticeship program and hold an Electrical qualification to level 3 as a minimum.
* Experience working on single and 3 phase systems.
* Strong electrical fault finding and diagnostic experience.
* Strong mechanical skills.
* Previous experience working on PLCs.
* Proven ability to work with drives, gears and motors, pneumatic, hydraulics and conveyors.
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering diagrams and schematics.
* Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
