So as an Authorised Gas Tester at Neway, what will you do?
* You'll carry out gas testing for flammable and toxic atmospheres in confined spaces and hazardous areas
* Doing pre-entry atmospheric checks you'll then continuously monitor operations
* You'll complete and document gas test records to support permit-to-work systems
* Liaising with site supervisors and safety team you'll maintain safe working conditions
* You'll support isolation and re-entry procedures in accordance with site safety procedure
And what are we looking for?
* Valid OPITO Authorised Gas Tester Certification
* CCNSG Safety Passport or CSCS Card
* Confined Space – High Risk Entry Certification (with full breathing apparatus use)
* Proven experience working in high-risk environments including confined spaces and hydrocarbon processing sites
* Solid understanding of gas detection principles and safe systems of work
* Ability to interpret safety documentation and support permit systems
* Flexibility to travel and work on different client sites across the UK
It will be great if you also have:
* Experience on COMAH or top-tier hazardous sites
* Familiarity with isolation / LOTO systems
