Oakley Food Projects are looking to connect food, drink and pharmaceutical manufacturers in the UK with capable construction expertise to move, expand and future‑proof their production facilities.
Responsibilities
* Oversee a single construction project ensuring that completed work meets the required quality standards and follows the project critical path and schedule.
* On‑site management of subcontractors.
* Enforce on‑site Health and Safety Management, complete work permits and ensure all personnel wear the appropriate PPE.
* Keep the site, canteen and toilet facilities clean and tidy.
* Ensure work is completed in a timely manner and maintain progress reporting to senior managers and stakeholders (including photographic evidence).
* Conduct quality and safety inspections and interpret technical drawings to finish work to agreed standards.
* Maintain quality control checks, sign off completed work and day‑to‑day problem‑solve any issues that arise.
Qualifications
* Recent UK‑based senior site management experience in construction commercial or fit‑out sector.
* UK clean driving license and own vehicle.
* Excellent communication skills (face‑to‑face, telephone, email).
* Ability to think on feet and problem‑solve challenges that may occur.
* Knowledge of CDM regulations and on‑site H&S expertise.
* CSCS Construction Management Black Card, SMSTS, IOSH/NEBOSH and First Aid at Work certifications.
* Forklift experience and evidence of this (desired).
* IPAF valid certification (desired).
Contract: 7‑month fixed term with the opportunity to become permanent if the project is successfully completed and the candidate demonstrates willingness to take on further projects across the UK.
Location: Initial project based in Peterhead, AB42 1DW. Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am‑5pm with a 60‑minute unpaid lunch break. Position available from June 2025. Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 per annum.
