Engineering Manager – Glasgow – £60,000 per annum
A leading bus operator in Glasgow is seeking an experienced and motivated Engineering Manager to oversee the maintenance and performance of our vehicle fleet. This is a key leadership role within our depot, offering a competitive salary of £60,000 and the chance to make a real impact on essential public transport services.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day engineering operations across the depot.
Ensure the fleet is maintained to the highest safety and reliability standards.
Oversee all vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, and defect rectification.
Ensure compliance with all DVSA, health and safety, and company standards.
Lead, develop, and motivate a team of engineers, supervisors, and support staff.
Manage budgets, parts procurement, and workshop performance.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering function.Requirements:
Proven experience in a senior engineering or fleet management role, preferably in the bus or commercial vehicle sector.
Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance regulations and industry best practices.
Recognised technical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
Transport Manager CPC (or willingness to obtain).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.What We Offer:
