EXAM INVIGILATORS
Sessional work throughout the year
£14.88 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Claremont Fan Court School is seeking conscientious and dependable individuals to join our team of Exam Invigilators. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity and smooth operation of our examination sessions, in accordance with JCQ and awarding body regulations.
Situated in 100 acres of historic parkland, Claremont Fan Court is a co-educational independent school for pupils aged 2½ to 18. The school is renowned for its commitment to academic excellence, pastoral care, and the development of character and values.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise examinations to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
2. Prepare examination venues and materials prior to each session.
3. Monitor candidates during examinations, maintaining a calm and orderly environment.
4. Assist with access arrangements and IT-related exam requirements.
5. Accurately collect and return examination scripts and materials.
6. Record and report any incidents, irregularities, or concerns.
Person Specification
7. Educated to A-level standard or equivalent.
8. Excellent time management, attention to detail, and communication skills.
9. High level of integrity and discretion.
10. Ability to follow procedures accurately and confidently.
11. Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
12. Availability from 8:15am for morning sessions and 1:00pm for afternoon sessions.
13. Flexible approach to working hours, particularly during the autumn and summer terms.
14. Willingness to undertake relevant training, including safeguarding and invigilation procedures.
Desirable:
15. Previous experience in exam invigilation or within a school setting.
16. Familiarity with JCQ regulations.
A minimum commitment of three sessions per week during the main examination period is required (a session is either a morning or afternoon), with additional opportunities available throughout the academic year.
