We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Compliance Officer to join our team. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you will play a vital role in driving and maintaining our standards across all operational functions. This is a hands-on position where you will influence and support teams to ensure compliance, strengthen our food safety culture, and embed best practices.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop, update and maintain quality and compliance procedures in line with industry standards and regulations (e.g. BRCGS, customer codes of practice).
* Deliver training sessions to operational staff, ensuring a strong understanding of compliance requirements and food safety principles.
* Promote and champion a culture of food safety and quality throughout the business.
* Support operational teams in identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
* Conduct internal audits and compliance checks, reporting findings and driving continuous improvement.
* Liaise with external auditors, customers, and regulatory bodies as required.
Attributes
* Experience in a compliance, quality or technical role within the food manufacturing sector.
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to train, engage and influence colleagues at all levels.
* Methodical and detail-focused, with the confidence to challenge and support operational practices.
* Passionate about continuous improvement and building a strong compliance culture.
* Demonstrates a strong ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.

Working hours
The standard working hours are 08:30–17:00 Monday to Thursday, and 08:30–15:30 on Fridays. While these are the core hours, we're looking for someone who can manage their time effectively and remain flexible when occasional adjustments are required to target compliance improvements across operational hours (06:00 to 22:00).
