Sewing Machinist\n\nSalary: £30,900 per annum\nLocation: Near Uxbridge, Middlesex\nHours: Mon–Thurs 08:00–17:00 / Fri 08:00–12:00 (37 hours per week)\nStart Date: ASAP\nType: Permanent\n\n This is a fantastic opportunity to join a precision aerospace manufacturer near Uxbridge. As a Sewing Machinist, you’ll be producing safety-critical fabric components for global aerospace programmes in a clean, structured, and friendly manufacturing environment.\n\n Sewing Machinist Benefits:\n\n£30,000 annual salary\n\nDaily overtime at 1.5x basic rate (£22.60/hour)\n\n25 days holiday + bank holidays\n\nAnnual bonus (inclusive of overtime)\n\n9% non-contributory pension\n\nFree on-site parking\n\nExcellent facilities and training opportunities\n\nSewing Machinist Responsibilities:\n\nCreate components using industrial sewing machines and overlockers\n\nFollow templates, patterns, and technical drawings to cut and assemble fabric pieces\n\nMark parts using stamps and ink pads\n\nMonitor materials and stitching for quality issues\n\nRecord work accurately using SAP\n\nUse engineering drawings to identify part numbers, finishes, and technical details\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\nExperience using industrial sewing machines in a manufacturing setting\n\nAbility to interpret technical drawings and instructions\n\nUnderstanding of weft, weave, and fabric types\n\nComfortable performing repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency\n\nAble to carry out simple maintenance on sewing machines (e.g., needle changes)\n\nAll successful candidates will be subject to background security checks, including identity, address history, employment verification, right to work, and criminal record screening.
