What you’ll be doing
We are looking for an organised and motivated IT 1.5 Line Technician to join our IT team at Portland College. If you thrive in a varied and fast‑paced environment, and you feel passionate about providing an outstanding level of service for our staff and learners, we would love to hear from you.
The successful candidate will join our IT team at our Main Campus in Mansfield.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the IT Manager and 2nd line team to successfully complete key projects across Portland Charity.
* Working with the team to maintain the ICT network to ensure 24/7 availability for our staff, learners and citizens.
* Promptly resolving issues raised on our ICT helpdesk.
* Providing ICT support to our learners, citizens and staff.
* Administering Office 365 across the Portland estate.
* Regularly maintaining and monitoring ICT systems.
* Working at our main campus with some travel across our other sites across Nottinghamshire.
About you
* You have previous experience working in an ICT support role.
* You are organised and can work well on your own as well as in a team.
* You have experience of maintaining confidentiality and an understanding of GDPR guidelines.
* You have a confident, friendly and professional approach with a genuine passion for helping people and providing a helpful and efficient service.
* You have experience of Office 365 administration and ICT helpdesk systems.
* Knowledge of mobile devices and mobile device management would be beneficial for this role.
We will be required to carry out an Enhanced DBS check for this role which does not involve regulated activity with our learners and/or citizens. As this role does not involve regulated activity, we will not accept any applications submitted after the campaign has been closed. We may close campaigns early if we have a high volume of applications.

Working Hours
37.5 hours, Monday – Friday, core hours: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. Some flexibility around working hours can be discussed.
