Reception Teacher Responsibilities · Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. · Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and safe classroom environment where every child can thrive. · Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development, promoting independence and confidence. · Observe, assess, and track pupil progress, using this to inform planning and next steps. · Work closely with support staff, colleagues, and parents to provide a holistic approach to learning. · Maintain effective communication with parents and carers regarding children’s development and progress. · Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and wider school initiatives. Reception Teacher Requirements · Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. · Experience teaching in Early Years/Reception within a primary school. · Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and assessment frameworks. · Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. · Ability to create engaging and differentiated learning experiences for all pupils. · Collaborative, reflective, and committed to continuous professional development.
