Counter Sales Representative
MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our national wholesale distribution client to find a first-class Counter Sales Representative to join their team in Ottawa, ON (in-office). The primary responsibility of this role will be to drive counter sales performance while delivering exceptional customer service to trade and contractor clients.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:
1. Provide front-line sales support to walk-in customers, ensuring accurate and efficient order processing
2. Research products, recommend solutions, and identify upsell opportunities
3. Enter, pick, and pack orders while coordinating with warehouse and shipping teams
4. Proactively follow up on backorders, returns, and warranty claims to ensure client satisfaction
5. Maintain an organized, well-merchandised counter area and support overall Profit Centre operations
You should have the following in your background to apply:
6. Minimum 2+ years of experience in counter sales, customer service, or a related distribution environment
7. Strong communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with trades and contractors
8. High attention to detail with solid math and order-entry accuracy
9. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
10. Experience or familiarity with plumbing, HVAC, or building products considered an asset

Salary: $50k-$55k
