From client onboarding through to the completion of instructions, we support anti-money laundering compliance, including source of funds and wealth checks. The team also handles conflict and conduct queries, professional indemnity and general insurance renewals, complaints, claims, and circumstances. Beyond this, we contribute to procurement processes, due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, HR support, risk assessments, and data privacy. We oversee information and cyber security and lead on ad hoc project work. By partnering closely with both legal and support teams ensuring our regulatory and ethical obligations are met while maintaining a the highest standard of client service. Role Purpose We’re looking for a detail oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our Risk & Compliance team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the firm meets its regulatory and professional obligations. You’ll support fee earners across departments, with a particular focus on file reviews and compliance tasks such as source of funds and wealth checks. Key Responsibilities Conduct client file reviews to ensure they are complete, accurate, and compliant with firm policies and regulatory requirements. Support fee earners by carrying out source of funds and wealth checks for both new and existing clients, helping to maintain robust anti-money laundering standards. Respond to compliance helpdesk queries, providing clear and timely guidance, and assist with general administrative tasks that support the Risk & Compliance function. Contribute to ad hoc project work, including research, data gathering, and process improvement initiatives that enhance the firm’s compliance framework. Key Measures of Success Accurate and timely completion of file reviews and compliance checks. Effective support to fee earners and the Risk & Compliance team. Prompt and professional handling of compliance queries. Demonstrated initiative in improving processes and contributing to projects. Consistent adherence to confidentiality and regulatory standards.
