The Role:
To act as the first point of contact for customers/visitors of the Island Hall, our state-of-the-art, multi-purpose venue, located at Lagan Valley Island. Ensuring our guests have a safe, enjoyable and highly positive experience of our facilities. Offering the highest possible standards of customer care, whilst being vigilant in the safeguarding of children, vulnerable adults and the public at large.
1. To offer the highest possible customer service at the Lagan Valley Island at all times, to conference delegates, concert patrons, visitors, contractors, staff and performers
2. To meet and greet members of the public, solving problems, answering queries, offering directions, giving advice and endeavouring to ensure a trouble free visit for everyone
3. To undertake pre-event safety checks and complete pre-event safety paperwork. To ensure fire exits and routes are kept clear from obstructions
4. To check tickets to ensure they are valid
5. To usher patrons to their seats efficiently and effectively
6. To take an active role in assisting the evacuation of the building by the public in the event of an emergency under the direction of the Duty Officer
Hours of work: various due to this being a casual position
Requirements:
Essential Criteria:
7. One year's experience of dealing with the public in a customer service environment
8. Ability to work evenings and/or weekends
Desirable Criteria:
9. Two year's experience of dealing with the public in a conference/theatre environment
