If you are motivated and passionate about person-centred services which support the wellbeing of people to live and age well in communities, then get in touch.
A broad range of postgraduate experience, including working in medical, stroke/neurology, orthopaedics, care of the elderly/rehab, MSK and community settings, is essential. Experience of working in the community would be desirable.
The post will involve working closely with the multidisciplinary team to assess and treat patients, maximising independence and facilitating prompt discharge. The post holder will work within the AHP Peebles Community Team, predominantly providing input to the community hospital inpatients and long‑term condition/neuro outpatients service.
Ongoing personal and professional development is essential to provide a quality service and is supported through CPD, appraisals and in‑service training.
Benefits & Working Hours
From 1st April 2026 the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
Legal Requirements & EEO Statement
To work in the United Kingdom, a person must demonstrate the relevant permission to work in the country, which is granted by the UK Visa and Immigration Service. As part of pre‑employment checks, NHS Scotland Boards will check your entitlement to work in the UK, which can be evidenced through various routes, including visa, EU settled and pre‑settled status, or sponsorship under the UK Skilled Worker/Health & Care Worker Visa if applicable.
Due to legislative changes from 1st April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check. If the post is assessed as a regulated role, your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. Any changes to the required check level will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager or the Recruitment Team.
It is essential that you have checked that you either already have an appropriate right to work in the UK or that the post would be eligible to be sponsored before submitting your application.
We cannot accept late applications, so ensure your application is submitted early.
Please note: As this is a part‑time post the salary shown will be pro‑rata.
