We are looking for a Project Manager to play a key role within our growing Alliance partnership in Aylesbury. This is a unique opportunity to work client-side, embedded within a collaborative delivery environment, where your decisions directly shape outcomes for communities.
Opportunity
Location: Aylesbury
Lead the delivery of highway improvement and maintenance schemes within a multi‑disciplinary team of engineers and specialists. Take ownership of project performance, stakeholder engagement, and delivery excellence, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
* Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of work packages within a major highways programme.
* Provide expert project and programme leadership, ensuring best practice standards.
* Act as a trusted advisor to clients on cost, schedule, risks, and delivery strategy.
* Build and maintain strong stakeholder and alliance relationships.
* Produce clear, insightful monthly reports (programme, financials, risk).
* Drive effective communication and collaboration across project teams.
* Proactively identify opportunities to add value and improve delivery outcomes.
Experience & Qualifications
* Project Management qualification (APM, PMP, PRINCE2) or demonstrable experience delivering complex projects.
* Desired experience in transportation or infrastructure projects.
* Experience working with NEC4 contracts is an advantage.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Project and financial reporting.
* Strong leadership with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build relationships.
* Confidence in managing change, risk, and resource planning.
* Ability to work both independently and within multi‑disciplinary teams.
* A proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation.
