A large public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement and Contracts Manager to lead strategic procurement and contract management within the Professional Services category.
This is a high-impact role supporting transformation goals, driving value for money, and ensuring robust supplier performance andernance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead procurement strategies and end-to-end sourcing for Professional Services.
2. Manage major contracts, ensuringpliance, performance, and value delivery.
3. Support stakeholders with business cases, market analysis, and procurement planning.
4. Oversee supplier relationships and resolve operational supply issues.
5. Ensure accurate documentation, action tracking, and contracternance.
6. Contribute to long-term category planning and transformation initiatives.
Essential Experience
7. Strong background in procurement, category, and contract management.
8. In-depth knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and procedures.
9. Proven experience in drafting tender documents and managing sourcing strategies
10. Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder expectations effectively.
11. CIPS certification or willingness to work towards MCIPS.

12. Excellent interpersonal andmunication skills.
13. Strong analytical and data interpretation capabilities.
14. Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
15. Understanding of responsible procurement, sustainability, and social value.
16. Knowledge of category management principles andmercial documentation.
