Description We are seeking self-motivated and experienced Robot Operator to Weld a range of pipe arrangements that have been Fabricated by our Team. As the Robot Welder, the successful candidate will be required to be on site each day within the fabrication/welding facility, welding pipe arrangements from our shop drawings.The ability to produce welds by GMAW with the opportunity for the successful candidates to develop their skills to our in house welding procedures. Job Title | Robot Welder Location | Fabrication Facility – Scarva Hours | Mon - Thurs 7am - 4.30pm, Fri 7am - 1.30pm Salary | Competitive depending on experience Responsible to | Fabrication Manager Key Responsibilities Take direction from Site Supervisor on work requirements, ensuring Pipes are welded in a prompt manner and production output figures are met. Read and fully understand the drawings for each project. Weld pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically carbon steel ranging from 125mm – 500mm) from shop drawings. Communicate effectively with their coworkers and supervisors to discuss any issues or concerns that may arise during the welding process. Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and Welding is carried out to the correct standard. Liaise regularly with Quality Control regarding any defects and any non-conformances. Ensure Company H&S Processes followed. Ensuring allocated work progresses in a timely manner and in accordance with workload and specifications. Set an example to all personnel when on site. Any other duties deemed necessary by management. Essential Criteria Minimum of 3 years’ Programming, Setting and Operating a Robot Welding Machine in an Engineering Environment. Minimum of 3 years’ operating as an established experienced Welder, that includes GMAW. To have an in-depth knowledge of Weld Defects. Proven Experience efficiently troubleshooting and resolving problems that may arise during the welding process. The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements. Able to use Shop floor hand tools like Grinders etc. Confident in understanding shopfloor drawings Organized and structured approach to your work Good attendance and timekeeping record Good interpersonal skills Ability to maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, whilst maintaining a high level of productivity To undertake training in line with company standards. Desirable: Previous experience as a Welder, producing a wide range of pipe arrangements with either TIG/MAG.
