This role is responsible for specialist payroll support in the delivery of the UK and Crown Dependency payrolls. The role manages critical payroll activities to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of the monthly payroll, such as running the gross to net calculations, providing input to change projects (both business and government led), and administering legislative documentation such as P60 and P11D. The role also provides effective management of escalations for the tier 2 payroll team, offering guidance and support through to resolution.
Requirements for Success
* Extensive experience in payroll administration and support at an expert level.
* Strong decision-making skills, taking accountability for policy, legislation, operational performance, and team deliverables.
* Proven success in driving process and procedural change initiatives from conception to implementation.
The successful candidate may be assessed on key skills such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology skills, as well as technical payroll expertise.

Purpose of the Role
To manage payroll functions, including calculating employee pay, withholding taxes, managing deductions, maintaining accurate payroll records, and resolving complex pay queries.
Accountabilities
* Processing payroll for various employee types, calculating taxes, contributions, and ensuring proper payments.
* Administering employee payroll records and troubleshooting issues.
* Providing guidance and support to employees on payroll matters, including salary calculations, overtime, bonuses, and commissions.
* Ensuring compliance with statutory filings and managing responses to government notices.
* Handling payroll statutory reporting and liaising with local tax authorities.
