GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming school in Filey, North Yorkshire.

The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and on-task. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop classroom experience, pursue a career in teaching, or work flexibly in a forward-thinking educational setting.
Main Responsibilities:
* Supervise classes across a range of subjects and year groups.
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and maintain lesson flow.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Ensure a positive, calm, and productive learning environment.
* Support students with their classwork and encourage engagement.
* Report any concerns or incidents to senior staff as required.
Cover Supervisor (CS) Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
* CACHE Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or Childcare is desirable but not essential.
* Strong communication and classroom management skills.
* Confidence supervising groups of students independently.
* Ability to follow lesson plans and adapt to different subject areas.
* A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
