Contract Type: Monday-Friday (Full-Time - 8:30am-3:30pm) - Term Time Only
Salary: £100-£120 a day

A primary special school in Bradford are looking for a Level 4 HLTA to join their team on a full-time basis. The school provides education to primary aged children with complex needs, medical needs, special educational needs, and challenging behaviours. The school is a vibrant and inclusive primary special needs school dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to children with a diverse range of needs. They believe in fostering an environment where every child can thrive, regardless of their challenges.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning, delivery, and assessment of lessons under the guidance of teaching staff.
Provide tailored support to students with special needs, disabilities, medical needs, and challenging behaviour, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes engagement, participation, and emotional well-being.
Collaborate effectively with teachers, medical team, physiotherapists and other support staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSP)
Supervise and facilitate activities both within the classroom and in other learning environments, such as sensory rooms or outdoor spaces.
Support students during transitions, break times, and other non-academic activities, promoting independence and social skills development.Requirements:
Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification is essential.
Experience working with children with special needs, disabilities, medical needs, and challenging behaviours is essential.
Experience teaching lessons is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
A compassionate and patient approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic educational setting.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Safeguarding training is essential, although this can be offered by Veritas.
Level 2 Team Teach training is essential, although this can be offered by Veritas.
Candidates must hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS upon registration
