Your role: As an Adult learning tutor for Maths, you will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning activities to residents who have low or limited skills in areas of high disadvantage from Entry level to level 2. Delivery can be classroom-based, remote, work-based or 1-1. You will work with a team of tutors, colleagues and the adult learning and Skills Curriculum Manager to ensure learning opportunities meet the needs of learners and provides a coherent offer that drives progression to higher level learning or work. Though this role is currently temporary, it is hoped that further funding will support extension of the post in the future. About You: You will hold a teaching certificate at level 4 or above. For example, 7307, Certificate in Education, PGCE, PGDE. You will be able to develop a curriculum relevant to the needs of learners, who are often hard to reach and low level. You will plan & deliver accredited learning that supports the curriculum, including schemes of work, session planning and reviewing of Individual Learning Plans. You will recogise the importance of achievement and progress of all learners.
