Overview
Join to apply for the Technical Writer role at Leica Biosystems. The Technical Writer is responsible for managing the creation and updating of technical documentation such as Instructions for Use (IFU), staining guides, notifications, and product labels for the Advanced Staining Reagent Business. Documents are developed using content provided by relevant departments, ensuring up-to-date, regulatory-compliant materials and revision control. This role requires close collaboration with Product Management, RAQA, R&D, and Technical Operations to create and maintain technical documentation and ensure correct product labeling for manufacturing, QA, product registration, and customers.
This position is part of the Product Management team and is an on-site role in Newcastle.
Responsibilities
* Drives creation and updates of technical documentation and label generation using defined processes.
* Responsible for the upload and maintenance of documents on the eIFU platform in conjunction with the Product Management team.
* Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure inputs and outputs align; actively participates in project core teams and provides accurate, timely status updates and escalation to drive resolution.
Essential requirements
* Demonstrates problem solving; analyses possible solutions using standard processes and experience to drive resolution.
* Sound judgement with ability to balance business and customer needs, with a sense of urgency.
* Strong Project Management skills; effectively manages several document/label updates simultaneously without support and provides accurate updates on work and timeframes. Able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
* Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
Preferred experience
* Degree or equivalent experience (desirable).
* Content Management System experience (desirable).
* Experience within the Medical Device industry or other regulated industries.
