About the vacancy:
In this role, you will ensure the estate areas are clean, safe, and tidy. You will focus on community engagement to improve residents' lives and uphold Hedyn's standards in equality, health & safety, and customer service, ensuring customer participation is central to all activities.
Responsibilities include:
1. Communicating effectively with residents, trade teams, and contractors to provide excellent service.
2. Cleaning communal areas, clearing blocked bin chutes, and maintaining waste management.
3. Removing litter, fly-tipping, weeds, and overgrowth from estate land, including shrub beds and landscaped areas.
4. Conducting safety checks on vehicles and recording findings.
5. Removing graffiti and reporting offensive incidents.
6. Participating in community meetings and events.
7. Collaborating with external agencies and assisting with garden tidying and waterway inspections.
8. Supporting anti-social behaviour initiatives and maintaining estate standards.
9. Managing stock and equipment safely, prioritising workload, and maintaining records.
10. Winter duties including gritting and snow clearance.
11. Adhering to health & safety regulations, including COSHH and asbestos awareness.
12. Assisting with grounds maintenance, vegetation removal, and using appropriate tools and machinery.
13. Collaborating with service areas to ensure value for money and quality.
14. Mentoring and developing team members and apprentices.
15. Performing additional duties as required.
