Qualified Accountant needed for Audit Support Your new company An award-winning tech company, partner closely with their clients and deliver industry-leading support and products. Your new role They are currently in the middle of an audit, and they are looking for a qualified accountant to join them on an interim basis and support with an audit. Responsibilities will be things such as reviewing and analysing financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards, preparing audit schedules, working papers, and supporting documentation required by internal or external auditors, reconcile key balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure audit readiness, assist in testing internal controls and documenting findings in line with audit methodology, liaise with auditors to provide timely responses, explanations, and evidence for audit queries, support the finance team in resolving historical accounting issues or backlog items identified during the audit. You will review existing accounting processes and recommend improvements to strengthen financial controls as well as ensure all audit deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and to required quality standards. Assist with year‑end close activities, including accruals, journals, and adjustments identified during audit work. Communicate risks, issues, and progress updates to senior finance stakeholders throughout the audit cycle. What you'll need to succeed You will need to be a qualified accountant, and ideally trained and qualified while in practice (ACA) with experience in industry.
