FLT Driver - Counterbalance
Are you an FLT Driver that has worked in Manufacturing and looking for a new challenge?
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an FLT Driver to join a well-known Manufacturing business based in Barnsley, very close to Wakefield. The role will allow you to be part of a great team carrying out FLT Driving duties within a fast-paced Manufacturing business.
Working Hours: 2 shifts (Mornings & Afternoons)
Hourly Rate: £13.55 p/h + 12.5% Shift Allowance = £15.24p/h - including Shift Allowance with the potential to increase after skills matrix training

Unlimited Overtime: Paid at time ½ after 40 hours Monday – Saturday and double time on Sunday
Key Responsibilities:
Transport material to and from designated areas in the facility
Loading and unloading goods from vehicles
Moving goods and materials packed on pallets around the facility
Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
Checking loads are secure
Recording all stock movements on internal systems (PC/RDT), keeping stock accurate
Keeping stock in an organised manner throughout the storage areas and general housekeeping duties
Stacking empty pallets
Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment
Taking scrap and waste materials to the skip
Always operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Skills & Experience:
Must hold and accredited FLT Counterbalance Certificate (up to 3 years old)
Experience of operating in a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment
Experience in using a PC/RDT stock system
Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
Maintain a clean & safe environment
Positive, proactive, ‘can do' attitude
Ability to count stock
