Reporting to the MD you will lead the finance function and play a pivotal role in driving operational performance. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced SME environment and is confident balancing strategic input with day-to-day financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the full finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting, and cash flow management.
2. Deliver accurate, timely management accounts and financial insight to support decision-making at senior level.
3. Develop and maintain financial controls and procedures that ensure compliance with statutory requirements and accounting standards.
4. Take ownership of year-end processes and lead the external audit, ensuring all regulatory reporting obligations are met.
5. Partner with operations and production teams to improve cost efficiency, margin analysis, and stock control.
6. Track and manage working capital closely, with a strong focus on cash flow and inventory funding cycles.
7. Assess financial risk and implement practical, business-focused mitigation strategies.
