Industry: Aerospace ManufacturingShorterm Group is hiring a CNC Turning Programmer/Setter for a leading aerospace manufacturer, part of a prestigious global engineering group.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge CNC technology in a high-precision environment, producing aerospace components to the highest industry standards.Role Overview:We're looking for a skilled CNC Turning Programmer/Setter to join the team. In this role, you'll be programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines-primarily multi-spindle, multi-turret machines (Miyano preferred) with Fanuc controls. Your expertise will be key in ensuring efficient, high-precision production.Key Responsibilities:??
Programming & Setup - Fully program CNC turning machines online, set up workpieces, tools, and fixtures for multi-axis machining.�?? Machine Operation - Work with Fanuc controls, troubleshoot, and optimize G-code programs to enhance performance.?? Quality & Precision - Ensure components meet stringent aerospace tolerances and industry standards (GD&T).??
Production Efficiency - Monitor OEE data (FourJaw) and contribute to process improvements.?? Collaboration & Documentation - Work alongside engineers, maintain setup sheets, and support continuous improvement initiatives.What We're Looking For:? Previous experience as a CNC Turning Programmer/Setter in precision engineering.?
Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls and multi-axis turning.? Ability to interpret and work to detailed technical drawings and specifications.? Experience with Miyano machines (preferred but not essential).?
