Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for Care and Support Assistants at our CQC Registered Learning Disabilites Service, Sussex Avenue in Kent.
We have various shift patterns available as below:
Full time : 37.5 hours per week
Part time : 20 hours per week (Day shifts)
Part time : 20 hours per week (Waking nights)

The role of Care and Support Assistant will include:

Delivering a high level of personalised care and support and encouraging our customers to live as independently as possible promoting active support for all
:
Supporting customers with washing, dressing, bathing, and hygiene
:
Administering medication
:
Assisting customers with shopping, cleaning, and laundry tasks
:
Helping customers to arrange and attend appointments i.e. with their GP
:
Promoting a positive culture by engaging with customers to prevent social isolation
:
Keeping accurate and up:to:date records
:
Responding to calls should a resident need support in an emergency
:
Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments
:
Providing peace of mind for all residents by carrying out security checks throughout the night and checking on all buildings and residents (Nights only)Conducting bed calls and morning calls to a high standard (Nights only)
Skills and experiences:
- Prior experience delivering personal care is desirable
- A kind, caring nature
- Ability to work well both as part a team and on own initiative
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to the changing needs of customers
- Excellent organisation skills
- NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards, is desirable
