For this role specifically, we need your help to take a hospitality brand’s extensive portfolio of each location to the next level through expert social support.
Your Mission
We're seeking a social media creator with a passion for nightlife, hospitality and creating captivating content. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for developing innovative content concepts, bringing them to life with your hands-on creation skills and strategically managing their performance across platforms to resonate deeply with our audiences.
We're looking for someone who instinctively knows what makes great, entertaining content, is motivated to get up, get shooting on their phone and bring their vision to life. You'll be instrumental in shaping the online presence of a globally recognised portfolio of venues, driving both creative output and strategic impact.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Execution & Strategy:
* Lead the creation of engaging, platform-specific content (video, text, image, interactive, etc.) that resonates with target audiences and reflects the unique brand voice of each location within the brand’s portfolio.
* Stay ahead of algorithm updates and emerging platform features to optimise content performance and reach within the hospitality and nightlife space.
* Develop social-first concepts that align with client briefs and brand aesthetics for each location.
* Be highly reactive to emerging trends in culture, hospitality, drinks, and nightlife, proposing and creating content at the peak of its relevancy.
Content Creation & Production:
* Shoot, edit and deliver creative, social-first concepts – advanced knowledge of phone editing software is a must (e.g., CapCut, TikTok Studio, native editing, etc.).
* Create compelling post captions that elevate visuals and drive engagement.
* Work closely with designers and the production team, as required, for more involved campaigns and shoots.
Performance Monitoring & Analysis:
* Support on the generation of insightful and actionable reports on social media performance, providing data-driven recommendations for optimisation in monthly reports and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
* Conduct competitive analysis to identify trends, benchmark performance, and inform strategic decision-making within the hospitality market.
Client Management & Collaboration:
* Contribute to the development and delivery of compelling client presentations and reports, clearly articulating social media strategies and results.
* Collaborate effectively with internal teams (e.g., creative, account management) to ensure seamless campaign execution and integrated marketing efforts.
* Proactively manage client expectations and ensure timely collection of assets and approvals.
* Understand complex client needs and challenges within the hospitality industry.
Innovation & Best Practices:
* Continuously explore and implement the latest social media trends, tools, and technologies to enhance campaign effectiveness and drive innovation.
* Participate actively in industry events, webinars, and workshops to stay informed and share knowledge within the team.
* Contribute to the development of internal best practices and processes for social media management.
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience (2-3+ years) in a social media management role, ideally in an agency environment or in-house for a consumer brand, with experience in hospitality or entertainment being a significant plus.
* Demonstrable success in developing and executing impactful social media strategies that have delivered measurable results for consumer brands.
* Deep understanding of the nuances and best practices for various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok) and their application to lifestyle and entertainment content – specifically adept in TikTok with experience working on a profile or brands’ TikTok to build content and community.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and brand-aligned content.
* Experience with using social media analytics tools to track, interpret, and report on performance (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Twitter Analytics, LinkedIn Analytics, TikTok Analytics, Google Analytics).
* Experience with social media management and scheduling tools (Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, etc.).
* Strong understanding and use of social tech relevant to content creation.
* Solid understanding of design principles and basic photo/video editing skills are essential.
* Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* A strong portfolio brimming with epic digital and social ideas, showcasing successful social media campaigns and hands-on content creation.
* A proven track record of delivering big results from killer creative thinking.
