Job Summary We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Temporary Qualified Nursery Assistants to join our temporary workforce in High Wycombe. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and rewarding environment, supporting the growth and development of young children. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years Plan and implement stimulating activities that promote children's learning and development Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support each child's individual needs Adhere to all nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized environment Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and snacks Support children's personal care needs, including nappy changing and toileting Qualifications and Requirements Level 2 or above qualification in childcare or early years education (essential) Previous experience working in a nursery setting (desirable) Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children Good organizational and time management skills Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication purposes First aid qualification (desirable, but training can be provided) Enhanced DBS check (required) Working Hours This temporary position offers flexible hours to suit your availability and the nursery's needs. Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, or full days, and may vary from week to week. The nursery operates Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm.
