Job Title: Senior Lecturer in Rehabilitation
As a Senior Lecturer in the Rehabilitation team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education. Your responsibilities will include teaching, assessment, student support, and contributing to curriculum development and quality assurance. You will collaborate with colleagues to enhance the programme's academic and professional standards.
1. Deliver teaching and assessment on the BSc Rehabilitation programme, including periodic travel to Hainan, China (circa 2-3 times annually for 2-4 weeks).
2. Provide student support both on-site in Hainan and online while based at UWE Bristol.
3. Contribute to curriculum development, programme design, and quality assurance processes.
4. Engage in ongoing improvement and innovation in programme content and delivery.
5. Contribute to teaching and assessment within UWE's other rehabilitation-related programmes.
UWE Bristol offers a unique opportunity aligned with the BSc Rehabilitation Joint Education Programme between UWE Bristol and Hainan Medical University in China. The programme is part of the School of Health and Social Wellbeing, which also delivers other health-related courses.
We seek an experienced Graduate Sport Rehabilitator, Graduate Sports Therapist, or Physiotherapist with a strong background in clinical practice and education. Candidates should have a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, assessment and management strategies, clinical reasoning, and contemporary injury management approaches in sport.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching international students and understanding their specific academic and cultural needs. A Master's degree is desirable, but relevant postgraduate study, university teaching experience, or a research profile in Sport Rehabilitation or a related field are also encouraged.
Applicants must hold current professional registration with one of the following:
* BASRaT (as a Graduate Sport Rehabilitator)
* The Society of Sports Therapists (or equivalent body)
* HCPC (as a Physiotherapist)
